Velmora Haven LLC is an independent online shop for home textiles and cozy living essentials. We sell the soft, useful things that make a house feel like home: bedding, bath towels, throws and blankets, cushions and covers, curtains, and rugs and mats. We are based in Portland, Oregon, and we ship to customers across the United States. Velmora Haven LLC is both our brand and the company that owns and operates this store.

Why Textiles

A home is mostly experienced through touch: the sheets you climb into, the towel you reach for, the throw on the back of the sofa, the rug under bare feet in the morning. Those are the things that get used every single day, and they are the things most often bought on price alone and replaced too soon. We started Velmora Haven LLC because we wanted a shop that treats everyday textiles as worth choosing carefully.

Today the range is built around long-staple cotton, linen, cotton-linen blends, soft knits, and durable woven and tufted pile, chosen where each does the job best: breathable cotton percale and sateen for sheets, high-absorbency terry for bath towels, knitted and fleece throws for the sofa, washable cotton and jute blends for rugs and mats, and lined cotton and polyester weaves for curtains that hang well and block light. Fiber content is stated plainly on every product page. What we do not sell is paper-thin microfiber dressed up as luxury, or anything that pills, fades, or falls apart after a season.

How We Choose What to Sell

Every item in the shop has to clear four tests before we list it.

  • Honest fiber. The fiber content on the label is the fiber content in the product, and it is stated on the product page.
  • Honest construction. Stitching that holds, hems that are finished, closures that work, and dyes that are colorfast under normal washing.
  • It earns its place. We would rather stock one excellent bath towel than six mediocre ones. Our range is deliberately narrow.
  • It washes well. A textile should come out of the washing machine looking and feeling as good as it went in, dozens of times over. Anything that needs special handling to survive does not make the cut.

Natural Fibers Are Not Uniform, and That Is the Point

Because our goods are made from natural and blended fibers, no two are perfectly identical. Slight color variation between dye lots is normal. Weave and texture can differ a little from piece to piece. Cotton and linen soften noticeably with washing, and natural fibers can shrink slightly on the first wash within industry norms. Photographs on our product pages show a representative item, not the exact one you will receive.

We think this is a feature, and we would rather explain it clearly up front than have you open the box expecting a perfect factory match. Genuine defects, such as a tear, a failed seam, a broken zipper, or staining on arrival, are a different matter entirely and are covered by our returns policy and our one-year limited warranty.

Caring for Your Textiles

Almost everything we sell lasts far longer with three simple habits: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, tumble dry on low or line dry, and never use bleach. Wash towels and bedding separately from items with zippers or hooks, and avoid fabric softener on towels, which reduces absorbency over time. Natural fibers soften with washing, so new sheets and towels get better rather than worse.

A care label ships with every product, and we are always happy to answer a care question by email even years after a purchase.

How We Work With Customers

We are a small team, and we answer our own support email rather than outsourcing it. That shapes how we do business:

  • Clear pricing. Free standard shipping on orders of $49 or more, a flat $6.95 below that, and no surprise fees added after checkout.
  • 30 days to change your mind, with a plain-English returns policy that states exactly who pays return postage in each situation.
  • Fast, written answers. Support inquiries are answered within one business day, Monday to Friday.

Sustainability

Textiles have a real environmental footprint, so we prioritize suppliers who can document their fiber sourcing and dyeing practices, and we favor products that last long enough to make replacement rare. We ship in recyclable cardboard and paper packaging rather than plastic pillows, and we do not individually shrink-wrap products that do not need protecting.
